Andrea Tirelli holds a BSc and MSc in Mathematics from the University of Pavia and furthered his academic pursuits with a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London. Originally focused on Pure Mathematics, Andrea transitioned to the practical intersections of computer science and machine learning, amassing experience in both industrial and academic settings. His expertise spans sectors such as insurance, genomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, HPC, and theoretical condensed matter Physics. Currently, Andrea serves as an AI Technical Specialist at BSI, where he plays a pivotal role in conducting conformity assessments for AI products, ensuring their safety and compliance. In addition, he is responsible for delivering training on AI-specific standards, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of excellence in the evolving field of artificial intelligence.
