In all likelihood, most companies will be using 5G technology in their production within a few years. In this section, Micael Hermansson (Director Device Ecosystem, Ericsson) and Gary Troberg (Digitization Manager, ifm electronic AB) together with Plantvision's Fredrik Arrigucci discuss why and how to use 5G in production. A major focus in this area is on how to use the technology in a way that does not risk creating security problems.

In this episode, we have a chat with Patrik Forsberg (Operations Manager at Lilla Edet municipality) and Peder Welin (Account Manager, Siemens AB, Digital Industries). They talk about an exciting project in Lilla Edet municipality where the municipality has chosen to replace Scada systems at their water and sewage facilities to modernize and comply with NIS2 – the new EU directive on cybersecurity. In this, they have also chosen to use Siemens Edge, which offers predictive maintenance with the help of AI, among other things.

Maintenance is one of the major recipients of data and there are many challenges as the chain of parties is long. Jon Bokrantz is a research specialist at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science at Chalmers University of Technology. In this episode, Filip Abrahamsson and Andreas Eriksson talk about their own experiences and insights from working in maintenance.
