Plantvision growth offensive in the Öresund region – set to grow by 50%

Lund, Sweden, October 2, 2024 – Plantvision, a leading provider of quality assurance and compliance, digitization, and automation solutions for the life sciences industry, today announced a strategic expansion in Skåne and the Öresund region, one of Europe's most dynamic growth areas in life sciences. With this initiative, Plantvision intends Plantvision establish itself as a key partner to local players in the region who face complex challenges in development and production. The initiative involves growth on several levels, with a target of at least 50% growth over a three-year period.

“We see great potential for our Life Science services here in Skåne and are determined to grow in line with the industry’s needs. We have set the bar high in our strategic expansion with a target of 50% growth over a three-year period. We have a strong, well-established team here and have already expanded our premises to accommodate further growth in our workforce, which paves the way for us to capture a larger market share and meet demand," says Simon Thuresson, CEO of Plantvision.

The Öresund region has developed into a center for Life Science, with over 6,700 employees in the industry in Skåne. Of Sweden's approximately 4,000 life science companies, 820 are located in the region, and together with the Copenhagen area, the sector encompasses over 50,000 professionals*. The pull of the region creates great opportunities to take part in innovation and collaboration across borders.

Plantvision's expansion in Skåne is a key part of the company's long-term growth strategy, for which the entire Öresund region is an important catalyst. Through its expertise in regulatory requirements, quality assurance and production efficiency, the company helps to realize potential and to promote innovation in the sector.

"Navigating this complex market requires a dynamic and responsive partner, and that's where we at Plantvision in. Our expertise helps companies exceed their goals and ensure high quality throughout product development, without getting bogged down in regulatory issues or inefficient production flows," Simon Thuresson continues.

Promoting local innovation
The Öresund region is an internationally recognized hub for Life Science, important for both Swedish and European innovation. Plantvision's investment means that the company is both expanding its operations, while actively contributing to shaping the future of the sector in the area.

- We are committed to being a present partner in the region, working with our clients to drive local innovation with the potential to make a global impact. The complex challenges we help our clients navigate are often critical to success. We are already seeing great interest in our services and hope that our presence can help to further consolidate the Öresund region as a hub for Life Science," concludes Simon Thuresson.
