Delivery and installation inspection of medical devices

Every day, new medical equipment is delivered and installed in hospitals and healthcare providers across the country. These range from large systems that take over entire rooms, such as magnetic resonance imaging, to smaller products such as handheld point-of-care analyzers.

Use an independent third party to verify your requirements and obtain an impartial, official inspection report that strengthens your contracts. Plantvision has the experience and technical expertise to assist in this type of process as an independent inspection partner between client and supplier. The assignments are carried out in accordance with current practice BMU 93 by experienced specialist consultants.

The delivery and installation processes usually follow a decision to purchase new equipment or to update older systems and instruments, and then planning, installation, training and commissioning are carried out in consultation between the client and the supplier. For larger installation and delivery projects, an independent reviewer may be beneficial or even included in the requirements for the installation to ensure an accurate and common basis for the start of operation, contract and warranty period.

Extract from BMU 93

"Instructions for the inspection of medical devices and installations"

"Inspection means an examination of the delivered product carried out by a special inspector according to a special procedure agreed between the purchaser and the supplier. The agreement shall also apply to the choice of the inspector and his relationship to both parties.

"The essential purpose of inspections is to ascertain the extent to which the delivery has been completed in accordance with the sales contract."

All in all, and in accordance with BMU 93, we can offer inspections included;

  • Technical competence
  • Experience
  • Independent inspection report

For delivery but also for final inspection, supplementary final inspection, acceptance inspection, warranty inspection, special inspection and/or post-inspection.
