I work as a Unit Manager in the Quality Management unit/department within the Compliance business area. Quality management works with consulting services (QA and validation) and consulting/quality management towards the pharmaceutical industry and biotech. The unit manager role means that I am the closest manager to 5-6 consulting managers and teamleads. The Quality management unit currently comprises around 50 consultants of varying age range and seniority and we support clients ranging from small to large in finding the right quality to meet the regulatory requirements (e.g. GMP; GDP, GLP and GCP) that they need to comply with. My role as Unit Manager involves coaching and supporting my consultant managers/team leads in Quality Management but also strategic work with business development, and offer development and a lot of service sales where I get to be out and about meeting our fantastic clients and discussing around their needs and wants and helping them match the right skills to the needs they have. In addition to this I work with recruitment of new great consultants, marketing of our services and offers within the Pharmaceutical industry and as a trainer in various Life Science related topics such as GMP, Validation & Qualification, GAMP 5 and data integrity.
I started working as a consultant at PlantVision in January 2015 and have mainly worked with assignments in the Pharmaceutical industry. The reason why I chose a career as a consultant is partly to get the opportunity for good personal development but also because I wanted to have the opportunity to work in different roles in a business and at different companies in the Life Science industry. As a consultant/senior consultant, I have previously worked in various roles in external and internal projects dealing with issues related to quality assurance. So far I have had the privilege to work as; project manager in investment and improvement projects, validation manager, project QA, QA release officer and trainer.
Before becoming a consultant, I have worked in a medical device company manufacturing Molecular Diagnostics (IvD and RuO) and before that as a laboratory engineer with virological diagnostics at the Microbiology Laboratory at Karolinska Hospital.
At PlantVision, I feel that the work-life balance is taken into account. I appreciate that PlantVision gives me as an individual the opportunity for good personal development, the opportunity to influence and develop the business and the fact that everyone is willing to share knowledge and help their colleagues when needed. PlantVision offers community, togetherness and lack of prestige, which are important pieces of the puzzle for me in a workplace.
I like to spend my free time with my family and our friends. I am a very social and positive person who enjoys planning small and large events, both privately and at work.
